We chose to hold this international exposition at Landhuis Groot Santa Martha in Soto. Soto is one of the islands oldest neighborhoods and deserves special attention in the Year of Neighborhoods (2006). This occurs by linking the plantation-ruled past with our current period.
From as early as 1696 Landhuis Groot Santa Martha had already been a plantation where slaves worked.
We received all kinds of cooperation from the sheltered workshop, Foundation for Sheltered Workshops.
